kyle That would be amazing but we would have to stretch it out to a week to give everything a try.

bocephus A minimum of a week would be necessary to get into the swing of everything and a bit of rest somewhere in the middle.

Solid cooking today, everyone! I made our first fresh garden tomato BLT’s of the summer today. I didn’t get around to making bacon last fall so I’m sad to say that these were store bought bacon. Never the same once you’ve made your own.

ND Mike That’s how I grew up eating chili of any kind as a kid. I don’t know any other way, well frito pie, etc.

Made an 8 lb batch of the white cooked bratwurst recipe that I have been experimenting with.
Instead of using the sous vide to cook them, this time I used my electric brewing hot liquor tank. It is temperature regulated and holds enough water to poach about as large of a batch as I would ever want to make. I had used it before to make braunschweiger, and was pretty sure it would work fine for the bratwurst as well.
