Drink of Choice

Tex_77 great score and a gift pack to boot

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

Joe Hell Someone left a bottle of that at a party for my wife’s graduation a few months back. Compare it to something for me. Or…I could just take a drink of it at home?

So as I’ve said, I’m still recovering from a bad experience with whiskey when I was 14. Today I picked up a couple of small bottles to expand on my Maker’s Mark endeavor. I grabbed a Bulleit Bourbon and a Elijah Craig Small Batch. I’m not sure if I’m headed in the right direction or not but I’m trying new drinks. Today, while smoking some bacon, I made a Manhattan using my Maker’s Mark. Actually I made several…

badfire2625 Very good choices. My mouth is salivating after just getting back from the hospital environment since last Monday. It will be a couple weeks before I can partake again.

Picked up a bottle of this while at the store because I remember seeing it in your post. Haven’t tried it yet but maybe tonight. -

Some Hibiki Don’t worry didn’t drink it all today save this for the “special” days.
And the new toy the wife got me. I see many more snack sticks and cured sausages in my future.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Cheers

Update: first time having these two back to back and the Legent (a collaboration between Jim Beams distiller and Suntory‘s master blender) is a nice follow up. Little higher proof and a bit more burn, but at half the price point a nice one-two punch. -
Cherry Limeades

Tex_77 Sounds pretty good for the heat we have been having here in New Mexico.

Good stuff. I used to have some Thai whisky that I would bring back from the area, not the greatest stuff, but couldn’t find it in the States.

GWG8541 Now, that’s a very nice haul. Time to invite whoever would like a taste over to your patio.

GWG8541 Thanks for noticing. Probably not back full time yet. But, will build up the tolerance to sit at a desk in the next weeks/months.

GWG8541 All three of those are Awesome! I’ve had them all and it’s tough to pick a favorite from amongst them. Glad you had a good Father’s Day.

Bob Stehlik Recovery is always slower than wanted. But, my support staff is saying “we’re going forward because all the boxes have been checked so far”. That’s all positive and sticking with that thought.
