Just a quickie before the Sandman comes. No, not that kind of quickie.

No idea what prompted this but it was delicious. Pay no attention to the glass in the background. Out of
milk. BTW… Ultimate Steak Seasoning works great with eggs. Gotta go. Knock at the door.

        It’s the " Sandman"

        Goodnight

Simple, cheap and relatively light tonight. Marinated some 69 cents a lb. chicken legs and smoked them with a chopped salad and watermelon.

craigrice Placing it in the user’s recipe category. When I made this at the restaurant, I had to make several - always sold out.

First attempt at bratwurst. 13.5lbs Pork shoulder ground twice through 3/16”. Seasoned and stuffed into 32mm fresh collagen casing. I overstuffed and popped a few while twisting links. But not horrible for a first go at it. Fried up a piece and it was delicious. Can’t wait to grill some tomorrow.

Surg I would say for the first try, that looks pretty darn good. Lots of good eatin & lots of savings too if you were able to get them butts for around $.99. What flavor did you go with? Walton’s Blue Ribbon is a good all around favorite.
