magician176 The Amarula liquor sounds interesting because I’ve never had the “amarula” fruit. But, always want to try new things. If you like “Scotch” with milk, there’s many types of bottles that are made with Bourbon and Cream. I tried one and then mixed it for myself out of the arsenal of bourbons on the shelf. Low and behold, it was just as good. It’s a nice change from always drinking Bourbon “neat” or with one ice cube. I do find the bottle disappears faster if I combine it with the cream. LOL. Glad to have another viewpoint on the other side of the world. Yay for US in the USA. You’ll find this group very knowledgeable with the meats. But, it’s what they do just as good is sip the “whiskey” while watching their BBQ pits do their thing. Welcome to this site.

zbigjeff I recently opened a bourbon creme and thought I could use a bit more proof so I added a shot of straight bourbon to spruce it up. Well…if you like curdled milk this is the drink for you! (Barf)

Joe Hell Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream is great, but you’ve got to keep it refrigerated once you open it.

Joe Hell re: bourbon creme opinion. I love this site. There’s always no room for “shy” and trying new “things”. The attitude is: one person’s trash is another person’s gold. Keep it up people.

PapaSop I don’t think I ever saw that in a red label, I will have to keep an eye out for it. When I lived on the road that brand was a common traveling companion.

Says it’s aged in former American bourbon barrels thus giving it the amber color. It’s very smooth and drinkable.

PapaSop I picked up a couple nice bottles of the Irish persuasion in the last week. Each retailed in the $30 range. I tried a sample of the ‘cask strength’ West Cork the other day…simply wonderful

PapaSop Just picked up the Bushmill Red because it came in yesterday according to my liquor man. Was going to do Manhattans because I also purchased the Luxardo Cherries. But, sometimes new tries lead the pack. The BushMill Red cured in bourbon barrels is nicely smooth for an appetizer and dangerous. Could drink this all afternoon. Just waiting for the sous vide salmon to get done.

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.
