I am in the process of having a video conference call with GrillEye. I said I don’t know what good a video call will do but I will humor them. So far not liking the process to fix the problem. I contacted them 2 weeks ago and they keep pushing it away. Will let you know the outcome maybe tomorrow

I didn’t think the GrillEye had that many digits. If mine went that high I would have gotten out the hose and put out that bad boy. LOL!!!

This is a great example of trying to “improve” something with a firmware update and ruining it. Sad because it was an awesome unit. I wonder if it was a security risk or something that forced them to do the update.

brian SCHNEIDER No, I couldn’t get it to work, sadly. It kept saying my firmware was up to date. NOW, it is possible (i suppose) that it had been updating its firmware on it’s own but I highly doubt that. I have it set to take home and will be seeing what it says on my next reverse sear and obviously seeing if it connects through the “cloud” like it used to. Did it fix yours being roughly twice the temperature of lava?

I am still trying to get this company to fix their problems. They keep blowing me off. My life and time is to important to go back and forth with GrillEye. I have decided to cut my lost and move on. Jonathon good analogy about twice the temperature of lava. I have no cloud to cool down my GrillEye.

sbtech If you want to try something else I will put the Meater+ on sale next month?

Jonathon yes I only had the temp reading sore out of control when I had got the probe to wet I accidentally submerged them a couple times. Mine says it’s firmware is up to date too. But I never updated it. I think the part on those instructions about holding the power button for 10 seconds is important. I think it is a hard reset.

brian scheider okay, that is going to have to wait a week or so but I will make sure I get the hard reset and check it
