Tex_77 my brother bought an old ranch a few years back and we have been trying to bring it back to life. He has some plans, but mainly focused for hunting. Had a solar set up, but some thieves stole it. Focusing on fencing, gates and cameras. We got some pretty funny videos of fools trying to steal the cameras while another captures license plate and vehicle. Working with neighboring ranches also to watch out for each other.

Ice storm broke a lot of trees, have at least enough firewood for a couple of years and mesquite for a lifetime of competition BBQ.

YooperDog Looks like you have a great foundation for grilling some good beef on the range too.

A newer product came in. Perhaps some of you folks in Texas are familiar with this.

PapaSop I have heard that is it pretty good, but never have tried it yet. We cannot get any here in Alabama apparently. Don’t get me started. I would like to get my hands on some True Blue 100 or Cask Strength.

PapaSop I’ve heard of that one often but not sure I’ve had it, let alone be able to find it locally. Thursday is my normal liquor store day because that’s when new freight arrives. I’ll take a look…,if they don’t have that I’ve I’ll just cross my fingers for Weller

Joe Hell Weller is part of the “Buffalo Trace” line. If you don’t get Weller, you probably don’t see Buffalo Trace either. Sad for you.

PapaSop As soon as I was done with my last post I ran to the store for Buffalo Trace. Having some now! I also picked up Sazerac Rye and ‘400 Conejos’ Mezcal

Joe Hell I grabbed 3 from Prarie Artisan Ales for today’s podcast and can’t WAIT to try them. One is called Seasick Crocodile and I think I am going to love it!

PapaSop Do you guys carry Horse Solider Bourbon? There’s a heck of a back story to it. Saw some at the liquor store today, they wanted over $100 a bottle for it.

Tex_77 We have it up here and actually have a bottle. It was no where near that cost. Have to look back at purchases but thinking around $40. I bought it for two reason: 1. Never had it before. 2. The story behind the company.

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

For the times I’m trying to be a normal human being and keep my clothes on, I make wine with my preference at the moment being Sangiovese. I’m not a huge beer fan but lately I’ve been drinking Southern Tier 2X IPA and their Lake Shore Fog Hazy IPA. badfire2625 I am not much of a tequila drinker, but do enjoy some aged styles. I do like IPA’s, but like gin I enjoy them more during the warmer seasons. Year round I like bourbon and whiskeys.
