Joe Hell Great news for YOU that you saw one. What was the cost? I have the Weller 12. But, it’s a black label. I love the Weller wheated bourbons.

zbigjeff This one also has the black label but the lighting in the car makes it look a bit like the reserve label. This bottle was $40

Joe Hell If you want to make some money, go buy another 5 bottles. People will pay dearly for that brand.

I have been off the grid since Halloween, not a call in or out. Just got lucky tonight, a 4G one bar in the middle of CW TX. No power or running water.Better call my better half if this signal last, not a sound except crickets and coyotes. A blazing mesquite fire and a new bottle.IMG_20201108_220659744.jpg

Joe Hell Is that Green or Blue? I think I am going color blind…I also think I need “readers” for small font now!

Jonathon it’s black but it looks kinda green to me. I’ve seen that same bottle advertised online for hundreds. Weller has claimed they have significantly increased production but unfortunately it could be years before we see that hit the market

YooperDog Well, while you are in that area have you hit up Perini Ranch Steakhouse in Buffalo Gap? There is a lot of wide open space out in that area.

Tex_77 it’s close, probably little over an hour ride. A little fancy for me and my brothers. I will be back down this way in about 3 months and will have to check it out with my wife, I believe she will enjoy it. Thank you for the tip.

A couple times a year I unplug from all this electronic gadgetry, helps me recenter. My brothers still have job responsibilities, a bit tougher for them. But the lack of signal coverage and limited power forces the issue.

YooperDog I’m sure she would love it. It’s not a pretentious place at all, if that is your concern.

Tex_77 no not at all, but you won’t be smelling roses standing down wind from us after over a week in the field LOL. We spent a week cleaning up after an ice storm; opening roads and paths. My laundry bag is stored outside and I am looking forward to the motel to get cleaned up and a good night’s rest.

Tex_77 my brother bought an old ranch a few years back and we have been trying to bring it back to life. He has some plans, but mainly focused for hunting. Had a solar set up, but some thieves stole it. Focusing on fencing, gates and cameras. We got some pretty funny videos of fools trying to steal the cameras while another captures license plate and vehicle. Working with neighboring ranches also to watch out for each other.

Ice storm broke a lot of trees, have at least enough firewood for a couple of years and mesquite for a lifetime of competition BBQ.

PapaSop I have heard that is it pretty good, but never have tried it yet. We cannot get any here in Alabama apparently. Don’t get me started. I would like to get my hands on some True Blue 100 or Cask Strength.

PapaSop I’ve heard of that one often but not sure I’ve had it, let alone be able to find it locally. Thursday is my normal liquor store day because that’s when new freight arrives. I’ll take a look…,if they don’t have that I’ve I’ll just cross my fingers for Weller

PapaSop As soon as I was done with my last post I ran to the store for Buffalo Trace. Having some now! I also picked up Sazerac Rye and ‘400 Conejos’ Mezcal
