craigrice we still have some green tomatoes left on the vine, not many. The pepper plant is confused, I saw blooms on one plant this morning. The weather is really weird today with a warm front proceeding the cold front. 69 degrees here at almost 8 PM, we have had 30 mph wind gusts and the rain stopped which means the cold front is on its way.

There is an actual chance of the low’s getting into the 50’s here next week. Which for the part of Texas I’m in I can’t ever remember it getting that cool in September, my blood is flowing in excitement…

kyle Camping is another item I missed doing this year. Enjoy that life. I can just imagine sitting around the fire at night. Oh, I miss THAT. Enjoy the last hurrah of the season.

The cold front rolled through, power was out for about 6 hours after the winds started blowing again and we ended up with lightning just after 10 PM. We had a little over an inch of rain in the overnight hours. With our lack of rain, wind and leaves still on the trees, it brought a lot of dead branches down. Will have some clean up when the rain stops later today, not to much, I cut most of my big pines down a couple of years ago.

kyle Yeah there is, I cook probably 99% of the time, when I take off yes it does come as a shock. It’s fun to sit back and watch others to actually have to think about a meal.

HerbcoFood it’s my own fault. I have a hard time just sitting around. Usually when we camp I bring wax and will do the truck and camper.

kyle Shrimp boils may be cooking, but never saw a shrimp, crab or crawfish boil as work.

Too much fun, and if you have the proper fuel (LOL) to keep you going, it can be a great time for all.

Chef Any kind of Ball is fun, Crawdad Ball, Shrimp Ball, Crab Ball. Part of the fun in the Crab Ball we used to do every year (Sausage, Corn, Taters, Onions, Crabs, Shrimps, & a stick of butter for everyone) was the cleanup. Real easy. It was always nice to just throw that ol free newspaper you used to be able to get readily from reading the papers, etc. down on the table. Then when all the goodies & vittles were ready, just throw it all down on the newspaper, & everyone have at it. Got to have plenty of fuel to go round, lest you might run out of energy. Throw all those shells, etc. back onto that newspaper, & when your finished, just roll it all up into one big ball & presto, do whatever it is you do best with it. Have Fun, Lots of it!

kyle Yep, “PROPER FUEL” just makes me smile for you while you “WORK”. Your family and friends better make them good and do the leg work while you toil through IT. Have fun!! I know you ARE.
