Biscuits and gravy this morning. Used the sausage I made yesterday using the Holly Regular Pork Sausage with extra Sage added. The wife tolerates the spice level better on the Holly better than others, but wants more sage. May order the #1504 CSX and see how she likes that one.IMG_0301.JPG IMG_0300.JPG

wdaly Needed a little warm up food. Was a little cool here in the NW this morning, not nearly as cool as it can be in Nebraska. We were at 23 degrees this morning and only at 29 degree’s now, but at least the sun is out and no fog.

gus4416 My wife can’t have the red pepper spice, her stomach will rebel. We’ll see how she does today, she said she was ok with today’s batch of Holly with the extra sage I added even with the pepper bite. She tells me she doesn’t know what sage tastes like but lived in Georgia for quite a few years and uses poultry seasoning like its going out of style.

kyle Everything from scratch. Add flour to the sausage once it is cooked, then cook it for a bit, then add cream and milk and thicken, season to taste. Easy as pie.

gus4416 a lot of it stems from when she had her gallbladder removed. Some of it stems from the crap she eats during the day when she works from home in the basement. Lots of processed crap, I tell her it’s not good for her as well as the doctor, but it’s in one ear and out the other. I make nutritious somewhat healthy dinners for her and she picks at things and doesn’t eat the good stuff every time. After 20 years, I don’t expect change, so I just make subtle suggestions, very subtle. If we have unhappy wife, we have unhappy life.

johnsbrewhouse My wife is retired but sets in front of the computer half the night and does the same thing . At one time where we used to live we could get a organic share of vegetables when we did that the stomach problems went away but I can’t convince her that was true so I am with you I just let it go we do eat pretty healthy and I don’t eat junk so we just do are own thing

kyle Sacralidge!!! Gravy is so easy to make, but I have at least one sister that I know uses a package product. I do have some packaged goods here for my wife to use when I am gone. I just shake my head. 😆

YooperDog I just make a white sauce and go from there. I think the packaged stuff is way to salty. Somewhere on this site I posted my white sauce recipe. It’s so easy and can be used for so many things
