Jonathon Smart food service in Parkland Washington Rib eye primal that I cut to a roast of around 4 lbs. Served us two meals. This is an IBP product, I buy my primal’s from them and cut them myself into steaks , roasts, and whatever else suits the needs of the smoker or cure.

Joe Hell There is one in Pendleton and one in Richland as well. Make sure you get on there email list. You can learn when the different cuts hit the specials. I buy most of my primals there. I get my hams and ground beef and pork from Saars Markplace here only when its on sale.

johnsbrewhouse I drive to both locations quite often…Pendleton twice in the last week. I recently gained a second job at the new butcher shop here in town, ‘Butcher Butcher Walla Walla’. It’s the only place I currently shop for meat! We have truly remarkable product. It’s not inexpensive but it’s superb quality.

Jonathon That is correct! I’d compare it to a mini Costco for food. If you’ve had it at a restaurant you can likely find it there.

Jonathon Yes it is, re-branded it about a year or two ago. They are really growing in the West. I can buy the same primals at the Business Costco but they cost more. IBP is the supplier to both, they are also the supplier to Safeway.

Joe Hell I checked out the website for the Smart Food Service, they have some good prices on stuff it looks like! I see you said you go to Pendleton, do you have ever go to the rodeo there? I hear it is a heck of a party, and I think it is going on right now.

Tex_77 Yes, it is going on right now. My sister lives in Pendleton, She hates it when the Roundup comes up. She threatens to leave town because the idiots who show up and can’t control themselves, nor respect the residents property.

I’ve never actually been to any of the rodeo events but I can tell you that the bar scene at night is freaking crazy! The ‘Pendleton Round-Up’ is going on right now actually. I had to take my kid to the airport there on Tuesday and I was fearing the congestion…surprisingly there was none. Let er’ buck!
