Sour dough biscuits. I make these a couple of times a month. I’d make them more often but it just doesn’t get any easier working them off my waste line. Lol

I did a pork loin roast with kraut this week for dinner. I seperated
the leftover pork from the kraut and made BBQ pork sandwiches with some homemade Jack Daniel’s Q sauce. Since it is Fry Day, I made some homemade fry with the sammies. Not real healthy, but pretty tasty and satisfying.

Lance man those look great. Do you need a sour dough starter for biscuits? I have starter and made bread last week. Never thought about sour dough biscuits.

I do add my starter to my biscuits
I use 2 parts flour to 1 part starter to them.

I just stuffed 50 # of H summer sausage added 1 cup of mustard seed to each 25# batch. After holding overnight it will go into the oven in the AM. and I will make 25# of German rope sausage. OMW I can’t wait the the aroma of the summer sausage fills the kitchen and I can take some of the German sausage off the grill for lunch! A side dish of the corn recipe might be just the ticket what is in that?

I was at Sam’s Club last week and they had waffle makers on sale. I’ve always wanted one and pulled the trigger. I took it on an inaugural run this morning. I whipped up some homemade batter and added a side of bacon. I figured if I messed up the waffles on my first attempt, the bacon would make everything OK. After following the directions on the waffle maker, success! Bacon and waffles. Maybe chicken and waffles are in the future.

GWG8541 Fine looking breakfast! We have a couple of waffle makers, one at home and one at the camp. I can’t do syrup anymore, it’s to much for me and only half a waffle since they are so large. I use a bit of blackberry jam on mine, my stomach tolerates the sugars better.

Maybe chicken and waffles are in the future.

johnsbrewhouse I do jam on waffles a lot. This was pure maple with the fruit. I also put berrys and a little Christmas Jam inside of my waffle. I still make my own grape jelly, but I get Christmas Jam at a Mennonite store near where I deer hunt. I dont know if you have tried it, but I got hooked on it about 6 years ago.
