cdavis cheeseburger cheddarwurst smelled really good, the bacon smelt nothing more than straight liquid smoke so I’m concerned

twilliams Wow, that is amazing & looks very good. The only problem is that looking at it is so good, sitting up in this office trying to get this work done, that I may be getting More Fatter Than A Show Dog, just looking at it. Not to mention the fact that I now feel like I am starving to boot.

When I first started making them I was always frustrated with the shrinkage and wrinkling compared to others that are solid round. After buying and seeing professionally meat locker plants sticks with the same issue I have learned to get past the appearance. It is the inside, meat ratio and flavor that I focus on now. I have made 98% of the flavors that Waltons offers. It might now be time to start coming up with my own recipes just for the adventure of it. Thanks to all of you with the wonderful compliments it keeps my drive going.

twilliams what’s your top 5 flavors? Looking for a new one to try. I have used Willies, jalapeño snack stick, pepperoni, bbq and honey bbq. I have a bag of pepper stick I haven’t made yet. My favorites in order are the Jalapeño, Willies, pepperoni, then the 2 bbq are a distant 4th and 5th. They are OK but nothing I could eat on a regular basis. I love the flavor of the spice mix of Jalapeño snack stick, but I get zero jalapeño flavor or heat from it. Next time I make some I will either add jalapeño or lava jack cheese.

Grimpuppy You didn’t ask me but I will say the Habanero BBQ is the best snack stick I have tasted. Has a little kick but certainly not what I’d consider “habanero” level and just overall great flavor. Though since you didn’t like two other BBQ flavors it may not be for you.
