Surg thats ironic, I picked that one up this summer. It’s worth getting. I had bought many of the Tennessee Fire gift sets over the years. They are the same price as buying the bottle by itself, so some are gifted and I am also working on an endless supply of JD shot glasses.

GWG8541 That is a nice bottle that everyone can enjoy. The 120 proofs are a tough sell unless there’s a DD in the group.

zbigjeff It actually is a super sweet tequila. As I have matured, I have found spending money on tequila is worth it’s weight in gold.

Choices what do I want to have today for a choice of beer? Found two choices, I really wanted to crack the Arrogant B*stard Ale since it’s been aging for quite a few years but the Men’s Room Original Red has been a go to since it’s locally produced and was brewed for the radio show I listen to at KISW. As you can see by the missing cap, what won out today. Elysian makes pretty decent beers.IMG_0242.JPG

johnsbrewhouse that bottle is definitely an interesting design. AB ale is always a good choice. I can get it here, but have never seen the one you poured.

GWG8541 You would probably enjoy the Men’s Room red, it’s got hops in the nose and in the taste but well balance too. It has our west coast hop feel and tastes. The AB is an original bottle from one of their first batches and has been collecting dust hidden away for a rainy day. When I used to do beer judging with the AHA, I used to rathole some of these premium beers to see how they would age over the years, like the barley wines I have. I pop the top shortly and check it out and compare it to what todays tastes like.

In my quest to support the local distillery I picked up this Bourbon made right here in New Iberia. If you are wondering what is cooking back there…. well go play the trivia game I’m about to post

Good stuff. Not too sweet. Taste almost like a tootsie roll or something.

I will have to look for that out here. Probably have to look at one of the wine and beer places since it’s an East coast beer.

johnsbrewhouse Tan & Black is my go to, every day, especially in winter beer. It is a Porter (Favorite) & Lager mix if I am not mistaken. We cannot get all the Yuengling’s either, but when I can I like that one.

It had a weird front end and finish. Right away you get the raw cane taste and they finished on charred oak planks and I think it was not enough.

I know this isn’t exactly what we normally post here BUT calldoctoday sent us some of this delicious Buffalo rock ginger ale! It is true ginger ale and totally different than the diet Canada dey I always drink, way more flavor and would be awesome for a whiskey ginger or my all time favorite cocktail a pims cup!

Jonathon Glad you got them in good order & enjoyed them too. Even though technically they were not the mixer for my first Jack & Ginger well over 40 years ago, they are never the less the perfect option for Jack & Ginger. It just about seems like they were made just for that!
