Woodford old fashioned while I smoke some cheese. I know it’s only Monday but I worked through the weekend and it was a rough one.

Surg Oh HAIL YES! Nice choice.

Found this at Sam’s. No idea how good the wine will be, but a cool idea for the holidays.

I dont think it will taste so good if it is a calendar! Tee he he!

HAHAHA!!! Please make sure to let us know if you find it OR we could create it ourselves. We may have to get Austin or Jonathon to consider making Groups related to our interest “Beyond the Meat”

GWG8541 Now that would be a nice Christmas selection.

Well, this is tasty.

PapaSop I’ve heard good things, but never had it. Is it worth adding to the arsenal?

Yep. Enough said.
-
PapaSop Never saw that anywhere. Happy you found another one in the wild.

I am happy to report the Old Elk store pick I brought back from Tennessee, is definitely a good pour at 108.8 proof. Nice caramel, vanilla aroma with a mild peppery finish.

GWG8541 It is for sure and somehow doesn’t go down like it’s 108 proof. Glad you had a chance to try it. That makes it even a better trip.

Surg looks good, what type of ale is that?
-
GWG8541 from their site :
“Our Christmas Ale is a brown ale that is brewed with six types of malted barley and fermented with American Ale yeast. It is brewed with pale malt as well as a combination of Caramel, Biscuit, Munich, and chocolate malts. It is hopped and dry-hopped with Columbus, Cascade, Centennial, and Amarillo and has a nice piney and citrus hop flavor and aroma. The result is a flavorful brown ale that is sweet and malty with a pleasant hop aroma.”Similar to Anchor they change the recipe each year. I’m not usually a big brown ale fan, but every now and then when the weather cools off it’s a welcome change.
