Is there such a wireless device that would transmit to some receiver/plug that could then be plugged into a Fireboard?

I run Thermoworks. Their probes last a long time. If you watch or sign up for their newsletter you can get some really good sale deals.

Hey guys… I’m getting tired of buying wireless meat thermometers on Amazon only to find they have big temp fluctuations. Or the probes crap out after a few uses. What’s the best one to buy?

If you want really wireless than the meater is what I would go with. However, the Grilleye Max seems to be really really good. However, I am gun shy with this as I loved the old grilleye too until they messed it up with a firmware update.

I know it’s not a Walton’s product but have been using the Thermoworks products for years. Long before finding this place. Sorry Austin and Jon. Had a probe fail once. Quick call to them and a replacement was on the way. BTW, this was three years after I bought it.

BubbaSmoke1963 Thermpro products are extremely reliable and can only be purchased through them. There is a note on their website that there are “fakes” being sold on Amazon. A couple of chefs i know only use Thermpro for instant, wired or wireless devices. I have an instant read and wired product. No issues after using for the last 1.5 years. Others say the wireless have around 300 feet of range and they do have ones with, I think, up to 4 probes. Good luck with your hunt.

I was driving myself NUTS trying to find a cheaper alternative, so I figured spend the money on Thermoworks SmokeX4 or spend the money on counseling.

BubbaSmoke1963 - I use a meater Plus most of the time on shorter cooks (4 hours or under) - It works great. On longer cooks I like to use my I-grill 3.

Life is a Garden - Dig it.
