Good to hear you have your “gas” figured out. 🤔
We’ve had the Yellowstone for awhile. Not yet tried.

“Sipping” for an hour and a half??? We need to talk. 😂🥃

PapaSop Was that tooooo short of a time??? It was a circus just watching all of the organizations going in circles and how not to run a project (Fire inspectors, Gas Company reps, 3 party vendors).

While crews were fixing a gas leak in the complex, I thought on day 4 (today) would be a good time to open up something that was full in the arsenal. Yellowstone bourbon was a decent pour and could be easily be consumed neat. But, I decided on a ice cube. Lo and behold after 1.5 hours of sipping this afternoon, the gas was turned on and are now able to cook on the stove and get hot water. Must’ve been a good luck charm (prob: not really. Just good timing).

zbigjeff I agree on the Yellowstone that it’s decent bourbon, on the sweet/spicy side. I preferred it with an ice cube. We had it last Thanksgiving and I believe that’s what the wife used in her Pecan Pie & Bourbon Sweet Potatoes.
A bud of mine came up from the Canon City area last week and brought me this bourbon. SIXTY MEN, out of Texas. It’s smooth on the tongue with a little bit of late burn in the throat. It’s not available in the Denver area but he found it down in Pueblo. Speaking of Pueblo, Co has anyone heard from Fat_Bob lately? I hope he’s still tuned in.

Bob Stehlik First of all, have not heard from “fatbob” for awhile. Re: 60 men pour. Not here yet. Will add it to the “ok to taste” list. Glad you enjoyed it.

LOL. No. Being a beer drinker all my life, I tend to slam these… Doesn’t always end up well.
My one son got me going on bourbon about four years ago. Still adjusting. Perhaps one day I’ll sip… But then again. Hmm.

processhead well, I am not a big Scotch drinker, but its hard to argue with that one. Its about as good a bourbon or a Tennessee sour mash.

I went to my Tennessee roots tonight. I needed something stiff to cut through all the fried food I did tonight. This Dickel 15 year single barrel definitely does the trick a 104.6 proof. For the strength i’d say it’s fairly mellow and like most good Tennessee sour mashes, it has that sweet aroma when poured. Its a solid poor and gets the job done post haste.

YooperDog yep, its already past midnight here, so I guess I’m starting early. Hard to believe 20 years have passed. Especially since our government has apparently forgotten everything that happened. If we do not learn from our mistakes we are doomed to repeat them. To those who lost their lives 20 years ago and everyone one since while fighting terrorism and to keep our great country and the world safe. Slainte
