Jonathon There’s a reason that certain methods are better than others (reverse sear, sous vide-sear). You just proved it again. Good test.

@matt-westerhaus Reminds me of the way my dad ate his homemade cream style corn, on top of mashed potatoes. I could take it or leave it but he liked them that way.

Last nights cook: 100% scratch made chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and sweetcorn. I’m not sure why gravy packets are a thing…homemade is just as easy to make with three ingredients. Kansas-raised beef.

on the end of that island I put a piece of plywood under the edge so that I had a place to clamp different things to ie stuffer pasta roller and others a piece just big enough to take up the void under the counter in the relief

craigrice the wide angle lens makes it look fatter than it is lol. I do have a dedicated beer fridge in the shop though so that problem
Is solved. Well it also contains jerky marinade and sausage casings.

lkrfletcher I ate really well tonight. My son cooked a spicy Korean chicken and some green beans and I ate too much, but those pics are making me hungry again. The elk enchiladas look great.

It 's been 95-103 here for 2 months, finally, it rained yesterday and the smoke cleared. 2 days of low temps so I fired up the stove.

Coconut beer batter shrimp and Halibut. Butterflied and deveined shrimp. Dipped the shrimp in beer batter then in cornflake crumbs with coconut.20210819_163104.jpg 20210819_163425.jpg 20210819_165645.jpg 20210819_171551.jpg

First time I have ever made breakfast for supper when it was 94 degrees out. It was good though! The sausage patty is actually willies snack stick seasoning. We put some in 1 lb bags to try as breakfast sausage. It is definitely spicier in patty form than sticks. I liked it though.
