What’s Cola, lol. I don’t drink it anymore. The only two types of sodas I drink, Root beer or Big Red and only half a bottle at a time. I don’t drink much soda any more, maybe one a month, mainly water and not enough of that most of the time. Being I only have 1/3 of a stomach, carbonation doesn’t like to stay down.

Tex_77 i also switched to RC if I drink cola. I was a Coke snob but their go woke stance really ticked me off. I just don’t drink much pop anymore.

ND Mike sad times that you can’t even just have a drink just for the drink. Several companies off my go to list.

Chef I am right there with you. I won’t even watch MLB or the NFL anymore. It almost kills me to not watch football as I played it in college. Oh well it actually frees up a lot of time!

ND Mike Yep, no sports, lots of clothing brands, and the list goes on and on. Only way I have found to identify them with google searches is to search for un-woke and unfriendly to alphabet companies. Backdoor way to find out just who I will support with my business.

Jonathon it’s funny up here in northern wi most people never heard of waltons. I found you because I bought some excalibur seasoning at a local meat store. It was pretty spendy, so I looked online and you guys came up. The word is spreading now tho, and word of mouth can be better than a tv ad. We have a pretty decent size sport and travel show at the decc in duluth MN in the spring. Might be worth looking into to send someone up. Another thing that helps is meatgistics. I refer alot of people to it when they have questions. Thanks for all you guys do and for giving us a place to “hang out and talk meat”

As soon as someone asks " what’s the best…" I always post products at wsltons.com and info on how to… at meatgistics. This was an interesting podcast. Never had blue crab

Tex_77 Do you actually believe that about RC? samplebee https://www.crabdynasty.com/shopaddtocart.asp if you want to try. They were really good crabs and while they fairly expensive, they were delivered fresh, alive and he didn’t rake us over the coals.

kyle We couldn’t agree more on word of mouth vs advertising. There a re a few reasons we do the ivestreams, podcasts and everything but one of them is absolutely to try to “spread the word” organically. We appreciate you guys sharing us with your friends and buddies.

As always, thanks for listening guys, we are going to do some more of these outside “podcasts” and we have one coming up next week, which will be released on the 4th of July that is going to be fun and hopefully give you guys a chance to meet other employees aside form the regular faces!

@Steve Winscot while I fully agree that they are overpaid the real issue is, who else would get that money? The owners? I don’t think the issue is how much money they make, I think it is that they are a-holes for the most part because theyhave been told their entire life that they are amazing and can do no wrong! Now, if lowering their pay meant that the ticket price went down and normal people could afford season tickets again I’d be ALL for it!

This is going to sound weird but I tend to forget that people are listening when Austin or @The-Fridge-Raider and I are rambling. I think it makes what comesout of my mouth more authentic but I do have to do a better job of not sounding like I am constantly attacking the left. I don’t see this as left-right anymore, I really don’t I see it as collectivism vs individuals. I think I do a better job explaining that in an upcoming podcast. The last 2 Austin and I have recorded have been my 2 favorite sober ones we have done without a guest.

There is a lot of really serious stuff going on the meat industry right now and I think we do a good job talking about that and then rambling about fun odd stuff in the next 2!

Chef ND Mike and others on this thread. All of this talk about Royal Crown Cola is taking me back to my childhood and visiting my grandparents every summer in Tennessee. They owned a little country road side store and there was a big old “RC and a Moon Pie” metal sign on the front of the store. Man I would love to have that sign today. Great memories.

Both of my grandparents has corner stores when I was growing up. My Mother’s parents had a small Italian store and my Dad’s parents just had more of a general grocery store, with a full service meat and deli counter.

Lots of fun times at both.
