Jonathon Wait. That’s a zero. You hit hard for a closet Team-Orange guy. But that baby blue is… cute.

Jonathon No. Cute was it. Kind of reminds me of when my twin boys were babies. Now they wear Orange Meatgistics.

No background whatsoever in preparing meats. Interest all started over dinner conversation with wife on how expensive cured meats are and how I should make them myself. Ultimate goal is to create salami, chorizo, etc in the fridge I’ve converted into a dry-aging chamber. Along the way I’ve gotten hooked on making fresh sausages, smoked sausages and the like…now I need friends to buy my food so my hobby is sustainable.

Looking forward to learning from you guys! Have yet to decide which Team to pledge my loyalty to.

Snacks Welcome to the neighborhood & don’t forget the Blue. We are glad to have you & we know you will enjoy this community.
Yes, I have tried that too, a long, long time ago. Let me tell you though, aging, deboning, & making sausage & tasty delights for your family & friends on your own will not only save you lots of money in the long run, but it is fun, satisfying, & most importantly it is tasty. You will be able to experiment with flavors of your own, not to mention all the possibilities that Walton’s has for you to try. Then, there is the community here & we are her to help you in any way we can. Enjoy the Blue Life!

A lot of great experience here and the folks are willing to help. Now you need to keep your wits about you around team blue. Team Orange is a much better direction in which to go. undefined

Hello from Concordia, KS. Been smoking meat and making jerky for a few years. Decided about a month ago to make sausage. I have made snack sticks, brats, pepperoni, breakfast sausage and summer sausage so far. All have turned out excellent except the summer sausage. Three batches and still not happy with them. Not giving up though. Still trying to decide on Blue or Orange team… I can be bought. Just putting that out there.
