This can be a time saver for people with questions and also the people who regularly answer the troubleshooting questions that get posted on Meatgistics.

The time it saves for the people who answer questions will depend on how much it gets used by those with questions. I think Jonathon realizes this and is putting some thought into what is the best way to get users to find and use the troubleshooting guide.

processhead I figured the more we can standardize some of the answers the better as well. At least to a certain extent, if all we ever went with were the standard answers we wouldn’t have a bunch of cool new things and tips so I don’t want people to feel like this is the only way to solve any of these issues BUT yes, time-saving and helping as many people as possible is the goal here!

Also, like I said this is going to be editable so if people find things that they think are missing, or misleading or flat wrong let us know and we can revisit the doc. Creating the table was a pain, we initially tried some

tag stuff but ended going with a format as we couldn’t stabilize the other one. And eventually all the Fixes will be video links…I think I already said that somewhere?

The one that everything is eventually going to link to is this one https://meatgistics.waltons.com/topic/5380/meatgistics-trouble-shooting-document and I was planning on deleting this one but for the time being I will leave both of them live.

Okay, it is up at the top with a ? under Trouble? underneath it and it links to https://meatgistics.waltons.com/topic/5380/meatgistics-trouble-shooting-document and there is an option for it under the more section on waltons.com.

Thanks to PatrickB and RPrince for helping finish this thing! And a huge thank you to nodebb who set us on the right path to fix our older version of this!

Jonathon Do you want me to write up something about how to not ruin a steak to add to it? I’d leave it you but you know I don’t want anyone ruining a steak.

I know a short link label is preferred, but Trouble is a little ambiguous. How about Processing Solution Center?

glen good point, I need to add the best way to throw them directly into the garbage! processhead I made a change thinking it would show what it was doing before but now it doesn’t do the same thing. Maybe I could leave it like that and just move it to the last in line?

I see on the desktop web page it is marked as “trouble shooting” and has a brief explanation pop up box when you hover the curser over it. That should be pretty self evident.
The mobile site just described it as “trouble”

cdavis Austin had that thought as well and this is going to go behind a log in wall in the next few months but I want it to start getting some traffic before we do that. processhead I have been convinced to change the name to FAQ for ease of use, though I like troubleshooting document more. calldoctoday Yes, I can’t say how often it will be updated but as we run into things we will get them on here so hopefully around monthly. And it wont just be added topics, it will be linked in the answers to a video showing what we are talking about and changes/improvements to the answers.

Glad people are liking this! FYI I also have a list of what I seasonings I need to do for the conversion chart, so hopefully that is next week.
