After twilliams thread on this seasoning, I wanted to try it and he was kind enough to provide me with some seasoning for a test batch.

We made 10 lbs this weekend using 80/20 venison and beef fat and stuffed them in 19 mm collagen casings.

I have to say they have a very nice, mild flavor compared to Willies. I would recommend them to anyone who like a milder snack stick flavor or is sharing their sticks with others who have similar tastes.

processhead good to know. My Dad is a guy that can’t take much heat. Willies is at the top of his threshold so they would probably be great for him. Great looking sticks by the way!

You could be forgiven for missing it, gus4416 .
It is not a very memorable or catchy name like some seasonings have.

The seasoning name is the thread title: “W Beef Stick Seasoning”.

For all that is interested, i have made many flavors that waltons carry and always take some for co workers to sample. Id say 80% of the waltons flavors i have done. I have used the same meat block throughout all the batches and many have said that this seasoning is the best flavor i have made yet. The downfall is, it only comes in a package to do 100lbs of meat not 25 lbs. Its a nice mild all around beef stick flavor. There is zero heat so if heat is what you prefer then maybe try this seasoning with some ghost pepper cheese. processhead where do you rank this flavor and what flavors do you prefer over top of this?

Have you tried the jalapeño snack stick seasoning? Despite the name, there is no heat and really no jalapeño flavor. But the flavor profile of the seasoning itself is outstanding. Just curious how it compares.

Tim, I have not tried very many flavors of snack stick seasoning. We used a snack stick seasoning sold by Frisco that was available locally for many years. It was heavy on the black pepper and garlic and we liked it a lot.
When it became unavailable and I found out about Walton’s I tried the Willies seasoning and liked it as much or more than the Frisco seasoning.
Once I find a seasoning or product I am happy with, I have a tendency of sticking with it. This is been the case with Willies snack stick seasoning. Unfortunately, that means I don’t really get to review too many seasonings.
As far as the W beef snack stick seasoning goes, I didn’t dislike it. but Willies snack stick seasoning would still be my first choice since it is more flavorful than the W beef stick seasoning.
