Had a pain in the b u t t day today tearing out the kitchen faucet and replacing it with new one today. That is tight quarters for broad shoulders!

Rewarded myself by making some pickled eggs and pickled sausage. Lots of Frank’s Red Hot in the brine. Now the 2 week wait.

calldoctoday seems like there is always something to fix around the house. Yeah, should be spicy, I had a hard time breathing while I brought the brine to a boil. I should have done it outside!!!

ND Mike Just got to love lying under those sinks, makes you wonder why they can’t design them so that you can actually work on them. I had to replace the tub control assembly last summer. I had to cut the wall out under the stair to access it and it was only a 36" x36" area to work. I’m a bit smaller than you, but have two steel knee’s and a 6" zipper on my spine, so I feel your pain.KIMG0285.JPG KIMG0284.JPG

My wife puts up with a lot of stuff I do! Mostly she never complains about. I spray a wood finish that is conversion varnish that is thinned with toluene. I have to wear a double element ask when I’m tented in the basement or in the garage. Very acidity to the nose! Can’t beat the finish tho! Nothing has an effect on it.

ND Mike Those are going to be great. You can’t have enough Frank’s as far as I’m concerned. I remodeled our house a few years ago. The thing that amazed me was there were no water shut off valves any where except the main line from the pump. I changed that. We have shots shut offs everywhere now.

wdaly I can’t believe they plumbed like that in the past. Each faucet and appliance should have a shut off.

It’s going to be a long 2 week wait to try those eggs and sausages.

wdaly I can’t believe they plumbed like that in the past. Each faucet and appliance should have a shut off.

It’s going to be a long 2 week wait to try those eggs and sausages.

ND Mike I feel your pain on the wait. I’m on my third week waiting on smoked cheese. I have a horseradish cheese that I can’t wait to taste.

Jonathon couple of days, worse part was the I had to shut the water off to the house because the water line had broken behind the surround of the tub and we had water leaking. My wife stores all kinds of crap under the stairs that never see’s the light of day. I cut the lines and cap them once I opened the wall. I had to go get the PEX expansion tool from my son-in-law we own and get parts and pieces to put it back together. About a three day project with the drywall.
