                PapaSop Wi, leading the way like always. I wish they could get a program started up here closer, Madison is to far of a drive

                  Totally agree. Baby steps, I guess. A couple of local shops are advertising for meat cutters.

                    PapaSop Just my opinion but I think as you see the need more brought into the mainstream eyes, you will see more educational institutions develop these types of programs. Around where I live in rural Kansas would be an ideal place to implement some of these programs at the high school level, not just tech school and community colleges. Mostly ranching and oil in my neck of the woods. Would make a lot of sense for local schools around here and the communities they serve. I’m surprised there is not more of it already with as many general agriculture, 4H, and FFA programs there are in this area.

                      That’s a great opinion! We bill ourselves here as the " Dairy State". This also calls for a lot of processing facilities. No brainer IMO.
                      Now that you mention it, I’m surprised as well with all the 4H, FFA and agriculture courses offered in this state this has not been implemented sooner.
