Tex_77 That’s some fine food. I’ve been wanting to sous vide steak. What temp and time did you use? Did you coat with seasoned butter before the skillet?

wdaly Temp wise I think I had it set at 117 maybe, and the time was a little over an hour. No that is not seasoned butter, it is seasoned mayo.

Since my Sam’s Club had whole Beef Tenderloin $25 off per tenderloin, we had Filet mignon tonight. I trimmed it and cut it up into steaks for diner and vac packed the rest for the freezer. I did the filet on the outdoor griddle to medium rare with mushrooms and onions. I baked a sweet potato to go with it. Simple, but definitely satisfying.

Temperature of 2°. Should be cold smoking cheese, but I kind of like to grill when it’s cold. Made the wife grilled T-bone, lobster tail, and fresh macaroni salad for the first supper of 2022. PXL_20220102_001118237.jpg

Tex_77 your killing me. Im trying to loose a little of the holiday weight and your post definitely doesn’t make it easy. My stomach immediately started growling. I do my asparagus similar to yours. I like it roasted in the oven like that with fresh diced garlic and shredded Parm. I look forward to spring when they pop up again.

Surg looks great. I love asparagus. In 5-6 months I can have fresh stuff out of the garden

I’ll be eating from mine hopefully next month.

kyle you are right the fresh is so good we eat a lot of it right after cutting it. That is why I said hopefully because last Feb’s artic blast pushed mine back a couple of weeks and my experience says we will have another instance this year.

Also had arugula salad with feta, sliced almonds, and beets with balsamic. (No pic).
