GWG8541 I am thinking I might have to make one-pound batches with all the different stuff I want to try, hmm, I wonder if Walton’s would put together a sample pack of about 15 different flavors for one-pound size.

bocephus I like your idea 💡. I would also love to try a sample pack like that. Come on Jonathon how about it.

Is that title hyperbolic? Do I know exactly what Hyperbolic means? Well, yes and not really BUT Jalapeno Popper sausage seasoning is pretty darn excellent! I added bacon that was already mostly cooked, mozzarella cheese at a 1 lb to 10 lb ratio and that was it. I used 80% pork butt and 20ish % Beef cheek. Seriously good brat and I think with some minor tweaks it could be a really good cured sausage as well!

I find jalapenos to be hit or miss. Sometimes they have a nice warmth and flavor, others it just a chemical burn.

Ridley Acres I agree, even when you grow them, they can vary to extremes some times. The season before last were so hot, they were not pleasant at all.

I absolutely hate agreeing with Jon (especially in public) but the jalapeno pepper brats are in my top five favorites. excellent flavor and a nice reminder of heat later on

5# sample packs of 5 different seasonings would be great. I only order Blue Ribbon, H, Willie’s, and Holly because I know I like them. Afraid to branch out I guess.😉

Ken1261 Yep, that is how I got into hate eating the flavor I bought from them last year.

I also would like to see 5 lb. packs but I believe Jon has said in the past that the portioning and packaging might make them cost prohibitive in small amounts, plus the shelf space required
Maybe the question is would you pay 1/2 (hypothetically) the cost for a 5 lb. pack vs the cost of a 25 lb. pack?
                    I believe I sometimes would

How much seasoning is in a bag? Website just says 1 bag for 25 pounds. Just trying to get my recipe together for less than 25 pounds.

Grimpuppy Just gotta weigh out the amount of seasoning you cut the recipe by.

Jonathon I’m really digging this one! I was guessing it was pretty good by how many pieces you popped in your mouth pretty quickly! I definitely want to try this one. I’m really interested in it as a cured sausage as well? Maybe used 20 lbs for meat block?
