First, I am well aware of deep blue. That took about a week of my time when those two videos were originally released. I was obsessed with it. 2nd, that lady who free dives with them is going to get eaten and then they are going to be mad at the sharks which is idiotic. She thinks she is doing so much for their image but she is risking another back lash beyond anything she can imagine. 3rd…sharks have been found past St Louis, so yeah, don’t feel too comfy swimming in the Mississippi!

No sharks in Badger land. C’mon up, swim, relax, drink beer, eat brats and enjoy some cheese. 😉😄🦈

Is that invitation open to the sharks? Jonathon? Or both?

Its head is EASILY the size of those people. usually when they say HUGE great white it is like a 12 footer or something but I am guessing that is in the 16 foot range which is really amazing. Here is the difference between an 11 footer and 17.5 footer

bocephus It’s an ok fight, it feels so much different than when you’ve been catching specs all morning which you basically skip across the top of the water when you reel in a smaller one. Then you hook on to a baby shark there is more of a fight.

Last time I went fishing in the Gulf (was suppose to fish for Reds) I only caught sand sharks. As a good adopted Cajun I made the best of them and eat those suckers. I AM the apex predator LOL!

Dr_Pain Shark is great & you have some of the better ones. I used to do something that pretty much guaranteed a good tasting shark, but it is now apparently illegal to do it. Still able to marinate in Buttermilk or even Milk & a mustard mix before cooking or freezing. The other trick, especially on large Makos that also could taste great was get rid of everything form the anal vent forward & put the remainder on ice right away. Great tasting shark most of the time after that, especially if you add the soak.

craigrice Sharks or some form of them are probably everywhere, some even in freshwater. I know in British Columbia, when I went up there about 20 years ago or so, we caught several of those White Sharks. They despise them with a passion up there. I did not even mention thinking about eating them, but of course the Halibut, Salmon, etc. was so nice it was hard to even think of sharks.

calldoctoday They call them dogfish, They are terrible when you are bottom fishing. People here do eat them. You have to soak them over night in milk to get the p*ss out of them since they excrete it through their skin. People say it a is good and a nice white meat with no bones, have not been that adventurous yet. Caught a lot of them in the sound and off the coast.

johnsbrewhouse It took me a while. I think I finally took the leap back in the early 80’s when my brother & I were fishing on a boat & this guy kept asking us for the sharks we were throwing back. Finally I said to my brother, what is this? There must be something to it. So we figured we would keep one & try it. It took me a few tries to figure out the Milk & Mustard marinate & the throwing everything from the A Hole forward back for chum, before I figured it out. Then they made the little trick illegal, but at least we knew it worked & was for some pretty decent (certainly not the best though) pure white meat with no bones eatin. “Tastes Like Chicken!” & lots of it.
