zbigjeff Thanks, I had to use purchased mushrooms this year because it has been so dry in MN where my nieces live. Their father usually picks wild mushrooms and I was going to use those, maybe next year.

Can’t believe I’m seeing that nice looking steak sitting in a fry pan. This will be burned in my mind forever. Thanks buddy.

I think this is about the misdeed that Jonathon performed on that poor innocent ribeye. lol

“Huge thumbs down to this non reverse sear nonsense! Turned my back for 2nminutes and it’s at 139! I won’t disgrace this community with a picture”

Wish I could say I never made a rookie mistake like that, but then I’d be lying.

No cooking here tonight. We had pizza from our favorite family owned place nearby. I had a homemade dessert, but I can’t take the credit for it either. Chef if you don’t already know, your Bourbon Pecan pie freezes well. I saved 1/3 of it and froze it for my son who loves to cook. He really enjoyed it and I can say it still taste awesome over a month later. Thanks again!

HerbcoFood That’s quite the layout. All this talk of Sous and reverse sear has my mouth watering. I understand the concept but haven’t been able to sample it yet. That might be my next investment.
