What did everyone cook today?
-
Got home at 12am and with help from the fam having taquitos salsa and guacamole at 2. Not bbq but still hit the spot. This is what’s left

-
ND Mike I like making za on the BGE. Crank up the heat and you get some crispy round pies
YooperDog yep for sure!
-

Busy week of making Walton’s Sweet and Tender Jerky and Mandarin Teriyaki snack sticks. In the past couple weeks have made over 80 lbs. of jerky.
JohnG5 That looks great. Been wanting to try the teriyaki.
-
Nothing that involved prep but getting the Big Green Egg ready. I worked an overtime shift today so easy was on the menu and I didn’t want to heat up the house. Papa Murphys is great on the grill!!!

ND Mike I’ve always liked grilled pizza. I have a GMG but not sure their pizza oven attachment is worth it. I just use a stone.

Surg People always say “that doesn’t look like the one I received in X restaurant”. My response is: “Correct. They normally make you pay for the tail. But, don’t deliver it to you and that’s some of the best tasting pieces of ribeye.”. Good looking finished piece for sure.

I made bbq’d seafood pasta: Everything was cooked on the bbq pit except for the bucatini pasta, shrimp, scallops, clams, pancetta, onions, garlic in a white wine butter sauce: https://www.instagram.com/p/CRc6-lZJPqS/

Well, I finally was able to squeeze in the 4th of July effort. We enjoyed these slow smoked ribs and shank (no crutch used, just slow smoke) that I made every effort to produce something halfway decent while writing reports & working at the same time thought the holiday. Of course it took us several days to chew through these delicious morsels that were paired up with smoked corn on the cob, potato salad, basic BBQ beans, & a tomato cucumber watermelon salad from the garden. No time nor any room left for Strawberry Ice Cream though this year.
