RJ Adventures I’m still playing with the cooking temp of chicken in sous vide(stuffed or not). Right now, I like 150 for 1-2 hours. Then, finishing them in a skillet. Glad yours worked at 165.

Sous vide sirloin tip roast, smoked crab poppers, smoked creamed corn, smoked bourbon apple cobbler. -
Joe Hell Schtuff happens.

zbigjeff they were delicious! Next time I may try cooking lower temp and buying some chicken on the run and give a nice fry after…

RJ Adventures Frying is another good method to impart taste into the dish and finish it. Yep, there’s always more than one way to accomplish the tasty end.

For lunch the wife wanted some good old grilled cheese and tomato soup. So I whipped it up for her. I used my home canned tomato juice to start the base for the soup. A little spice and some heavy cream brought it to life. I had seasoned and smoked some soup crackers for snacking, and they went great with this soup. The wife just wanted grilled cheese, but I boosted my sandwich with some shaved grilled smoked ham. The cheese in the sandwiches was smoked Pepper Jack and Baby Swiss. Quick and not approved by my cardiologist, but tasty.

These are the smoked snack crackersGWG8541 There is nothing like good old grilled cheese sandwiches & home made mater soup, for comfort.

You have to enjoy life, every now & then. Just nothing in excess, right.
