Knocked out some steaks the other night on the Weber Summitt Kettle with the grill grates. I think i use the back more than the front of them! BUT…while the grill was burning out a storm rolled up hard and fast, don’t like to leave my baby outside but thought oh well it’s only rain. THEN i remebered that my Grill Eye Pro was sitting out… doh…now I have the black screen of death… turns on and send signal to my phone but nothing on the readout… that sucks!!! I loved that thing!!!

Technically not me and not “cook” but it was my wife and they were baked. Delicious cookies with fruity pebbles and/or lucky charms and they are magically delicious!

Parksider I love my Meater+ (or 2+ of them…) They work amazing, but I’ve not done ribs. We might have to have Jonathon test that one out.
Tex_77 The Fireboard sounds cool, but I’ve never tried one. I initially contacted them when they were still a Kickstarter project and again after, but I never get a good response. They might be great, but they won’t just set us up as a vendor for some reason. I tried a couple times, but it never goes anywhere. I’d love to try and sell their stuff if it was good, but I don’t get a lot of a response from their customer service team. I gave up as I think there are other things on the market that work great too, but if you have any contact for us, that would be great. Or just call them and say “hey, why do you not have Walton’s as a distributor…?”

Austin I might just have an inside track on that. Though I hear a competitor in your area may have an exclusive distributorship agreement with them.

Tex_77 I definitely get the feel there is a reason to it. I won’t explain everything, but what you said could make sense. They would be sorely mistaken to do an exclusive with anyone though… we’d hold our own against anyone out there, unless you get a paid exclusive with Amazon or something crazy.

Tex_77 I’ve tried twice to reach out to them and haven’t heard back either. If they aren’t interested there really isn’t anything we can do, unfortunately.

Tex_77 I agree with you about the Fireboard All research points in that direction. Wish that Walton’s could distribute them. Guys, if there is anyway you could sell them, You have me as a customer for that product.

Anyone using the Meater wireless probes? Could be my next purchase, sounds cool, they look thick like a pencil. Not sure how they’d do on ribs.

Parksider I have and it worked perfectly. I had to go to my moms house and I could monitor my cook from there via the cloud. I am very happy with my MEATER+ thermometer.

Boned 2 whole chickens, stuffed them, then smoked them. One has wild rice, sausage, mushrooms, and onions. The other is stuffed with bacon, cheese, jalapeno, and onion. Threw in a venison tenderloin just in case it wasn’t any good.
