Well…? To a point. -

Was looking at some Booker’s. After talking to our bourbon master who said I"d add a few drops of water, very strong. Hmm. The Angel’s is wonderful. -
Have you had Blade and Bow?
-
Since I was " stimulated" by the IRS today. Thought I’d step out of my normal bourbon budget. Don’t normally go for a drink aged in a wine barrel but… This is very good! Both neat and rocks. Wow!

Seems to pair well with orange as well.

Had a potstill Brandy from Blaauklippen ( a wine estate in the Western Cape region of south Africa).
Great nutiness, saltana on the nose and a pleasant Caramel note.
Awesome colour and obviously the wood aging in French Barrique(225litre or 300 750ml bottles) for 3 years helps.Stay safe all

Not tried that one. Have heard the name before somewhere. -
PapaSop I’ve been wanting to try that one…tomorrow perhaps. Tonight I’m having a big ol’ Bombay Gin & Tonic

Joe Hell
Sapphire? -
PapaSop Sapphire indeed! I just picked up the Angel’s Envy and some more Weller. Can’t wait to get home and do some tasting!

Sounds like you’re in for an interesting evening! Still no Weller’s around these parts. Probably gonna have a little bit of Angel’s again myself. Had to to put it away after one yesterday. To easy going down! Yikes… -

Joe Hell I don’t see much snow up your way. G&T would be wishful thinking in our snow covered tundra. I am thinking a little Pig Whistle tonight to warm things up until I can see the grass again.

Might need to slow down and eat a bit. WhistlePig is affecting finger/brain coordination.

YooperDog I’ve heard good things about Whistle Pig, but man its pricey!
-
Tex_77 It is not so bad drinking it at home, out on the economy it will empty the wallet making a short night. My brother is a chef in southern WI and he can hook me up with some quality adult beverages every now and then. Or introduce me some that I never knew about.

YooperDog Ive had my eye on the Whistle Pig for years now but just haven’t pulled the trigger. I might change that come pay day. I just settled in with a Negroni and a dram of Angel’s Envy. That one is surely going to stay in my regular rotation!

Joe Hell I haven’t had the opportunity to to try Angels Envy yet, but I am looking forward to getting off lockdown and taking a bike ride to the big city and doing a shelf check at the big discount liquor stores. Selection is pretty slim up by me and a bit pricey.

YooperDog I’m 10 minutes from the Oregon border and make a weekly trip to find a new or old favorite. Liquor prices are 40-50% less than Washington and gas is far less too. It’s a no brainer.
Joe Hell and you don’t have to pump your own gas. Though Inreally hate someone else doing it.

skibumben last week they were allowing drivers to pump their own gas at the station I normally go to. The attendant on duty asked if I needed any assistance. I almost said “it’s ok, I’m from Washington.” I’m sure there were many from a Oregon that were confused by the process. Yesterday when I went back the attendants were once again doing the pumping.
