I learned from a friend…that you can load rock salt for a “non lethal” or cut up pennies into pie wedges, excellent home defense load for people that have ability to reload.

Tex_77 We all know that is just an insane statement! I’d finish burying the “evidence” before Austin got out of bed!

Parksider or as Billy the Kid says in Young Guns, load it up with 18 dimes, “best dollar eighty I ever spent!”

Jonathon I really thought with your affinity for some of the Victorinox knives you have, you might prefer to get up close and personal with any intruder!

Tex_77 as patrick can attest to, if there is a knife in my hands, I am the FIRST person who is going to get cut. Seriously, I hide cuts from him now cause he makes so much fun of me!

kathy cross You are SUCH a team blue person! It’s a shame honestly! No, in all seriousness this is a good time to think about how to protect your family. I certainly have including some weapons training for my wife, a new shotgun with a plan to store it in a place we can easily access it and training for my 160 lb mastiff. I got one of those dog bite sleeves things on the way, he already loves to bite and hold my arm when we are playing, I want to encourage that ESPECIALLY when I am not around.

He is a sweet dog but we had someone try to come and walk him one day when we were not there and the coworker said he was already there by the time she opened the door and was snarling and showing his teeth…and he knew her! So, good luck to anyone thinking about taking what’s mine or harming my family!

Now, if someone had peanutbutter Brutus would stop snarling right away and do whatever they wanted probably!D2FA7BA3-D15D-49FE-B01C-965FCD8B503B.jpeg

For scale, the one in front is 95 lb

They don’t look like biters. My last golden retreiver tipped the scales at 140 and I thought he was big. He’d run a mile to lick your face.

BTW… Don’t they say that dogs resemble their owners. And it looks like Brutus has a touch of “orange” about him. Hmm.

I believe that there is no such thing as to much ammo or firearms. And warning shots are considered a miss. I don’t think that we will get to that point here, but I believe that this is a wake-up call to many. I am not a prepper or doomsday proponent, but I was a Boy Scout and believe in being prepared. My family lived through WWII, concentration camps, depression, recession and the like. Always taught to be prepared and self sufficient. With all this free time availabe I am hoping to get a cold smoker set up and a curing chamber built. We used to have a French Mastiff, friendly dog, but you didn’t want to get on her bad side. Go team Orange

I will check them out. Initially I was going to modify one of my boxes to accept a cold smoke unit. Only a month or so before it will be to warm to cold smoke where I live. Thanks

Amen Tex_77. Sometimes you need to step back from the 24 hour onslaught of news and social media. Sort of miss the days when the TV stations shit down at night, you had no choice but to disconnect. Now you need train yourself to find a quiet place.

Never tried this before. Probably because it’s supplied by one of our competitors. Nearly every top ten list I’ve seen always includes it for affordability and drinkability.
