PapaSop Austin and I had brief parlay today. He was close to offering his unconditional surrender!

Tex_77 Offer is a strong word… More like you and Jon were going to take it by force. I remember part of the whole conversation today venturing towards you or Jonathon standing over me in triumph, like I’m dead or something, which it will take my death for Team Orange to completely surrender to anyone!

Hmm. Was just thinking about the last time I heard the word parlay…I think Josey Wales took out the entire blue team in one fell swoop!

Made snack sticks and summer sasuage last Thursday and had 2 things happen that I want to comment on, the first was on my 2nd grind of my meat and fat mixture with the 1/8" plate, things were going very slowly, finally I realized the mixture was too warm and I put the mixture in the freezer for a little while and bingo, it was grinding like I had my 3/8" plate on. The 2nd Happening was Explosive, My rebuilt stuffer has tremendous power and I got the meat a little tooo!!! Ice Cold and must have not packed the meat tightly enough in the cylinder and had a big!!! air pocket and had a case of Explosive Diarrhea, the force of the air release ripped the casing off of about 3’ of snack sticks on the feed horn and splattered meat all over the place, What a surprise !!IMG_3535.JPG

akdave Whoa! I had a similar incident last week but it didn’t blow apart like that. Mine hit some air and the casing suddenly shot off the stuffer like an 8 foot long party horn! lol

Had a chunk of frozen cheese jam up the horn and it came out the end and shot my buddy in the back, he went down like a soccer player!!! It was awesome…

PapaSop Yup, it will be on sale through the end of the month. I don’t know the next time we are planning on putting them on sale so grabbing it now is best if you can. Last year the only times this size went on sale were ThanksBlackMonday and Christmas sales. We don’t necessarily do the exact same thing and it is possible they get place on a July 4th sale or something but…if you can, now is the time!

Just wanted to let everybody know about frozen meat plugging up the small stuffing tubes for snack sticks, don’t think larger tubes will be problem, next thing I am looking for is a 16mm stuffing tube long enough for a full length of 19 mm collagen casings

I would think with a really big hydraulic stuffer it could get really exciting

Are you using a kidney plate when you are stuffing? Might see if they make one for your grinder.
