Tex_77 I can’t even get Rebecca Creek here in Illinois. I have to pick up a supply each October when I am in Wyoming hunting. Great stuff!

Tex_77 I’m a tall, domestic, and light beer guy… “Silver Bullets” or Ultras.

I’m a Bulliet and 4 roses bourbon fan too.

Summer drink on the porch is tall Titos and lime tonic.

My wife and I started making shrubs. If you haven’t tried them highly recommend. 2oz vodka, 2oz whatever flavor shrub, and top with something that has fizz over ice. They were a game changer, you CANNOT taste the vodka!!

Brianh The first place I ever had it was at a concert in the middle of a pasture. They had a bottle of it on stage and I asked them what it was, then they offered me a shot, and I was hooked! I think the band was Shane Smith and the Saints!

Parksider Bulleit is great! I recently got into Four Roses myself. Good bang for the buck! Crown is a good and Pendleton is high on the list and it’s namesake is only 40 minutes down the road. Weller is next on my list…made by the folks that produce Pappy Van Winkle.

Tex_77 A shrub is a strange concoction and something that can be made at home. It will have various fruit, some sugar and vinegar. It sounds weird but it can be a refreshing addition to lighter ‘summer’ drinks.

Parksider I have been enjoying Ultras recently but an abv in the low 4s is hard to appreciate. 15 years ago that would have been perfectly fine, how the explosion in American craft brewing has changed things is amazing. I really think we now make the best beers in the world, took that from Germany almost a decade ago!

Jonathon Yet, you don’t like IPA (shakes head in disbelief). Today’s IPA isn’t all about the bitter as it once was! The only beers I haven’t jumped on guard with is of the sour variety. When I first started brewing 25 years ago we just referred to that as ‘bad beer’ and would dump it down the drain or give it to our friends just looking for a buzz.

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (the brewery is right here in town) and a couple of gin & tonics in the evening.

@s-a-m When Yuengling became widely available I was sure that was the death of Bud and a few other heavy lagers, same price and infinitely better (in my opinion) but you can show a horse water but you can’t make them drink good beer!

Tex_77 I enjoy Crown on almost any occasion and as many Busch Lights or Bud Selects that I can poor down the hatch. When out and about I like to get into the Stouts at most breweries. I don’t believe that I have met a bourbon that I don’t care for. I will pretty much indulge in anything but Rum.

@s-a-m I love me some stouts, porter, etc… I haven’t met a beer or spirit that I would turn down!

Even Bud light lime? Can’t do that! Lol
