Drink of Choice

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

All of the above except the Coors. MGD for many years now. Guinness and several Leinenkugel craft beers at times. Honeyweiss, Northwoods Lager, Red Lager and Oktoberfest. Quit mixing some time ago. All on the rocks. Oops, forgot Jameson and Basil Hayden’s and Buffalo Trace. Could go on but…Being in the wholesale liquor business has it’s advantages. -
So many to list but if it was a drink of choice im going with my Disaronno and Pepsi, with a close second of Leroux Blackberry Brandy and Pepsi, then Blue UV and Sprite. For beer i bounce back and fourth from Miller High Life and Miller lite with an occasional Coors light and Busch Light

Tex_77 There is no way I could narrow it down to a favorite. If the booze has color I’ll drink it neat. Clear spirts such as vodka or gin call for soda water or tonic and some citrus. I like to keep it simple and chase all of the above with a good craft beer…especially IPA.
I’m currently avoiding booze in preparation for a trip to Vegas soon. My liver thanks me.

Tex_77 Tequila is my favorite liquor, Anejo is what I go for if it isn’t too pricey! For beer I’ve been on a year long Sour kick but I wouldn’t call that my favorite. I HATE IPA’s with an all consuming passion…well that’s over stating it a little but I do not like them! I love almost all Porters and Stouts but I think my overall favorite would be Belgians, Quads specifically but I am not too picky. Favorite of those would probably be a beer called Piraat (yes spelled like that) though these certainly aren’t my every day drinking beers! Favorite easy drinker is New Castle and favorite seasonal is Spaaten Octoberfest or Harpoon winter warmer. I used to manage a beer store in upstate New York, so I still love good beer!

Crown apple…any crown for that matter, Seagrams 7, Seagrams apple,any captain Morgan any liquor is good except gin…for beer it’s gotta be Leinenkugel original,Leinenkugel canoe paddler, shock top, coors banquet…not too picky bout beer

Tex_77 7&7 is a good one drank many of them…ranks right up there with crown apple sour(my go to drink lately)

My #1 is Rebecca Creek on the rocks, followed by Pendelton on the rocks. Can be forced to drink some Busch Light on a hot summer day or Wyoming deer camp.

I’m a Bulliet and 4 roses bourbon fan too.
Summer drink on the porch is tall Titos and lime tonic.
My wife and I started making shrubs. If you haven’t tried them highly recommend. 2oz vodka, 2oz whatever flavor shrub, and top with something that has fizz over ice. They were a game changer, you CANNOT taste the vodka!!

Brianh The first place I ever had it was at a concert in the middle of a pasture. They had a bottle of it on stage and I asked them what it was, then they offered me a shot, and I was hooked! I think the band was Shane Smith and the Saints!

Parksider Bulleit is great! I recently got into Four Roses myself. Good bang for the buck! Crown is a good and Pendleton is high on the list and it’s namesake is only 40 minutes down the road. Weller is next on my list…made by the folks that produce Pappy Van Winkle.

Parksider I have been enjoying Ultras recently but an abv in the low 4s is hard to appreciate. 15 years ago that would have been perfectly fine, how the explosion in American craft brewing has changed things is amazing. I really think we now make the best beers in the world, took that from Germany almost a decade ago!

Jonathon Yet, you don’t like IPA (shakes head in disbelief). Today’s IPA isn’t all about the bitter as it once was! The only beers I haven’t jumped on guard with is of the sour variety. When I first started brewing 25 years ago we just referred to that as ‘bad beer’ and would dump it down the drain or give it to our friends just looking for a buzz.

IPA’s are to hoppy for my taste, I prefer a good dark stout or darker ale, just my preference!
