@Dave-in-AZ This was an American Guinea Hog that was about 18 months old. @processhead It was just in my garage from 12/25/21 until 3/15/22. Temps went well into negative at times, but never went over 40 until the day I finished cutting him up. The day I slaughtered I sprayed the whole carcass with 1:1 vinegar/water and repeated daily for 3 days so there wouldn’t be as much bad bacteria. Anything off colored was discarded.

I would think it would take at least a couple gallons of cream to work in a motorized #50 mixer. At the end of it, you will have some expensive butter.

@garry-tarpley we haven’t cooked any links yet, but we sampled the meat left in the stuffer and the single blowout. I would say the flavor is more like a breakfast sausage than what I would consider a brat.

@idaho-smokey My son-in-law worked as a RN in the ER and charge nurse in the ICU, he loved the action until he got hurt on his last long CPR a doc would not call (multiple hours). The only action I ever saw was having to go rescue patrol vehicles for the PD when the c r * p was blowing into proverbial the fan. )(Austin’s censoring program tried, but I got around it). We got sent out to some situations where I was told to just get it running and lets get out of here. Mind you, I have no vest except a high vis that gets left in the service vehicle.

@Ridley-Acres It is an interesting idea but we tested out the longest bag it would properly seal and around 6 feet was the absolute limit.

Does the Grilleye Max work with other brand probes? I have several meat probes with a 3.5mm jack and I am wondering if they will work with this unit.

Picked up a 20qt mixer with #12 grinder attachment over the weekend. It needs some work, and it’s missing the tray for the meat grinder. Are the #12 grinder trays interchangeable? The ID of the top of the funnel is just over 2"
