Name brand vacuum bags are usually listed as BPA free . If it is not mentioned it may be cause for concern. For some, other chemicals leaching from plastic pouches may be an issue Reusable silicon sous vide bags are becoming more popular but have other drawbacks, cleaning, sterilizing, drying, etc.

@austin Well, you would think that I would have a head start on all that with experience with it back in the late 70’s & 80’s when things were nowhere near close to what they are today, but somehow, I just apparently developed into a dinosaur.

@Austin @Jonathon it’s been five days now that I have not gotten any Meatgistics’ email. I get the notices and got a TrustSpot for a review. I have logged off and logged back on, cleared the cache. Not sure just what to do at this point, email server is not receiving from the Meatgistics site. Not going to junk or trash. Any suggestions?
