Jonathon is game meat, such as elk, more protein dense than beef? Is there a difference between the two in bioavailability of that protein? I listen to Rogan often, he has made mention of game (specifically elk) being more protein dense and more bioavailable than beef.

Jonathon Raw whole milk yogurt from Jako Farm in Yoder is outstanding, if you enjoy yogurt and haven’t tried them out.

RafterW So, at the point of bioavailability then we are going to have to start talking about PDCAAS which is the protein digestibility corrected for amino acid …score? I think the last is score. Nothing from the farm beats beef, it is a .92 and the only things higher are whey and egg whites…I am pretty sure at least. To the best of my knowledge no one has done a study on the pdcaas of wild game meats but it does stand to reason that they would be around beef or possibly higher. I know pork is lower, around .65 and chicken is pretty high on the list too, maybe high .7?

The problem is that lab analysis is the only way to complete the pdcaas which might be why either no one has done it, or no one has shared the results for free.

In the end bio availability is sometimes used for a replacement for the pdcass but they are different things.

Lion Fish are an invasive species from people releasing them into the waters in Florida. You can actually go on guided spear fishing trips in the Florida Keys.

Ten plus years ago the Lion fish were already in NC. I used to scuba dive the ship wreck there, and we would see more each time we would visit. I doubt they will get much further north, the Labrador current hopefully will keep them south.
