I crave those things! Haven’t gone 'shroom hunting in several years but last time I hit a treasure trove at a springtime campout my son was at. Probably brought home 2 lbs. The breading is a great idea.

twilliams Our season this year was very short for Morels, although we got almost 12# and had plenty. Fried up the last batch on Friday along with fresh Crappies. A very tasty combination for our Friday happy hour.

Congrats on a nice haul of morels!
I just read a fantasy book last night, and the main character finds morels and makes a salad of morels and fiddleheads. Made me think of this thread. Also that only someone up in WI, MI, Ontario, Vermont kinda area would know about those two spring delicacies. Looked it up, yep author lives in Ontario.
My sister is up in MI, hopefully she has found some morels herself this year.
