Tex_77 That looks just right, I can just taste it! Would have been great today with the 90° weather, before it cooled off a bit. Margaret made me a lemonade with some of that frozen lemon juice from last years lemons. It was good, but I added a little George Keel 114 to it to step it up a notch.

My son made a Dry Irish Stout. We shared a bottle after working in the garden tonight. It is a tasty one.

GWG8541 OK, your son double teamed me at Stout and Irish. Love both styles. But, double down and create a fusion. Yes Please!!!

Definitely a good one. I went to the store looking for Hendrick’s neptunia and this bottle caught my eye. I’m usually not one to sip gin straight but this one is nice and smooth. Definitely recommend trying it if you see it.

Surg That’s one on me. Hopefully, it didn’t taste like a pine tree. Oh, gins are great at this time of year. Just purchased some tonic to enjoy while sitting outside in the sun. Then, switch to the brown stuff when the sun goes down.

I’ve been eyeing this for months, sometimes I just buy a bottle because of how it looks. This is one of them, it’s different, but not a bad different.

Jonathon , yes spent 8yrs in Europa, 4 years in the orient, and a few places others would rather not be. They are all actual helmets used in our wars, and worn by soldiers in combat. wwI, wwII, Korean, RVN, and Desert Shield / Storm mixed with a few grenades, and anti aircraft rounds. A worthy note are the Kiss your a*s goodbye rounds in the Helmet camo bands in case capture was inevitable… 5.56 & 7.62 Cheers

Today is Armed Forces day, and Monday 30 May 2022 will be Memorial Day. I am posting this for all who served, and remembering those that never had the opportunity to take off their uniform.

I was that which others did not want to be.
I went where others feared to go. And did what others failed to do.
I asked nothing from those who gave nothing, and reluctantly accepted the thought of eternal loneliness, should I fail.
I have seen the face of terror, felt the stinging cold of fear, and enjoyed the sweet taste of a moment’s love.
I have cried, pained, and hoped, but most of all I have lived times others would say were best forgotten.
At least someday I will be able to say I was proud of what I was…
