Welcome to the pit Randy! Most likely you need to edit down the size of your pictures. By the way, NEVER listed to anyone on team orange! LOL undefined

smokedog Welcome aboard! Yes, Like Big Bob says, cut em down a bit. I edit mine consistently for these pages to 60% & they seem to still look pretty good, it is easy, & they work. It did not happen over night though. Yes, Blue is a perfect color for Louisiana, like Mixing a little Purple & Gold goes Bluish, Blue Crabs, Blue Bayou, Blue Cats, I am sure you can think of more reasons to GO BLUE!

5 LB of Waltons sweet chipotle jerky seasoning.
With my own on it . Extra seasonings and I found that
93% lean beef with one pound of unseasoned sausage gives
        A very nice taste.

smokedog On a serious note, it is just a friendly competition of Orange which is Austin team, and the Blue which is Jonathon team. Just healthy fun.

Now on a practical note, Blue Team Rules. It has the most awesome members, the most knowledgeable members, a true team leader, i.e. Jonathon, and the Blue team RULES. Blue team even picks up the slack from the Orange team. And in addition, the blue caps look better on most people than the orange caps.

It really is all about fun. This community is wonderful.

Jonathon I think it’s time we create a new topic educating newcomers to just what the teams are prior to them being corrupted by some who are confused…LOL

                First time on the page!
                Hi my name is Randy
Been playing with my smokers for about 4 years.
Just got started making my own Bratwurst .
Smokers, Louisiana champion an a Master built 48 inch.
Master has been equipped with a smoke pistol this year.
But the Champion is still my go to.![1_1610293301965_0322FD3E-FDCF-4ACF-9326-195F3AEF1DCC.jpeg](Uploading 100%) ![0_1610293301961_F0F9A717-BCF4-4DE9-80EB-80591750A346.jpeg](Uploading 100%)
Picture of my first bratwurst an attempt to make Canadian bacon it turn out to be a very good ham made out of a pork loin.

                            Rich here from Mid-Michigan,
I currently use a 25+ year old Brinkmann Vertical wood smoker converted to propane fueled. I didn’t use it much for the first 18 years but have really gotten into smoking meats in the last 7 or so years. I am researching for a new smoker as the Brinkmann won’t last much longer and the temp doesn’t go low enough for snack sticks and salami’s that I want to start making.
I also have a LEM Big Bite 10 rack dehydrator that I use for jerky.
I have to give a shout out to YooperDog a fellow Yooper (I’m originally from Esky) so I’m going to have to go with Team Orange.

dhg001 welcome to the community. I am about 2/3 of the way to Marquette on M-35. Hard water fishing is a little tough down that way, not the best down Escanaba way this year. Go Eskimos. Nice seeing you up on two wheels. I have a Road King and already chompin’ at the bit.
