@maurermeat said in Salt outside of snack sticks: @Jonathon Felt comfortable eating them because they were immediately vacuumed pack and were less than 3 weeks old. Plus I really like snack sticks so I would hate to see them go to waste! Totally agree. You have a cosmetic issue, not a food safety issue.

@DieselAddiction Sorry, on another post we addressed this yesterday. For some reason, the search feature and some notifications were removed from mobile when we upgraded. NodeBB is working on it and hopes to have it restored relatively soon. In the meantime if you want to search posts you will have to use desktop, we apologize for the inconvenience.

@Jonathon Glad you were relaxing. It a time to spend having fun. We all just find “things” and advise. There will be time when you get back to IT. I lived in IT and I also had to just walk away and have my time also. Enjoy.

@Tex_77 I just started reading Jack Carr books. I enjoyed the first one and looking for more, trying to read them in order.

Long day with brisket yesterday, put them on about 5:00 am and took them out about 9:00 pm. About an hour and a half in cooler then into fridge and cut up and vacuum sealed this morning. Ready for easy meals, just put in boiling pot and ready to eat. My wife just informed me that her nephew would sure like some, another chit on my side of the ledger when I get older he will owe me.

@zbigjeff you just have to have one big enough and mean enough. They will always protect their hens.

@pepperettes Thanks for the reply. I decided to use it and it appears that the cure worked as I cooked a small patty and it turned nice and red.

@Tex_77 Yeah, they returned about 10 years ago. It was the resurgence of the cape cod fur seal apparently, they left when there wasn’t enough food but seal populations have exploded so they came back…and they arent little ones, they are the BID Ol pregnant female a lot. They caught an 18 footer on camera basically doing the jaws scene where it was trapped on top of a cage…there is no footage of it on the internet?! Oh my god did I dream this? No, here is the IMDB https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2017535/ but they are holding that footage off-line…interesting.

There was an upgrade. Lost a lot of nice capabilities. Look at the issues group, several posts. Jon is working on it, seeing if they can get some of that back.

@bocephus Wow, that’s a bigun. If you had not have told us & not seeing the head, I would have about thought that was a cougar. We used to have one of those Mexican Mountain Lions/Black Cougars running around our place in Texas years ago, they can be frightful. The Bobcats though are usually not that big of a deal, but yours is big & healthy. Is the other video Monrovia California? If it is, wow again, because I am sure Monrovia has probably been eaten alive by LA now & that would be no place for Bobcats to be in the mix.
