Yeah I’m all for Hunters education. I think 25 is a.legit.cutoff age though. Above that, your really aren’t going to learn anything new. U less you want to do.muzzle loading for the 1st time.

Well sorry, I would beg to differ, sir.
Just because I am 26 or 56, and I decide to take up hunting or shooting sports, it simply can’t be assumed that I have any background in firearm safety and gun ownership that would somehow automatically make me a competent and safe gun owner.
Fortunately, many of the states with cutoff dates have had those rules on the books for a few years now. It stands to reason that a lot of middle-aged hunters and shooters have had hunter education by now due to the length of time the rules have been on the books.

Nope. Too sharp.
Jonathon will still put out his eye, plus he might break his finger. -

processhead Maybe a squirt gun, then he would just rinse his eye out. We have already watched him with the salt gun, looks dangerous with that.

Jonathon You’d think so, but it seems every year some hunter just shoots at something walking through the woods thinking it’s their desired target. Then there we have the hunting accident, even though that person was wearing the required hunter’s orange.
I do know my Texas Hunter’s Ed is good for Kansas because I hunted there back in 2019 with Jackie Bushman. It’s also good in other states but I can’t find the list at this time.
-
Grimpuppy A lot of states grandfather older people (born before a certain date) in, so they don’t need hunter safety.

Kansas is if you were born after July 1, 1957. It pretty much covers everyone that is getting their first license.

Regarding Hunter Education Reciprocity:
National Hunting Laws and Regulations
Who is required to complete hunter education in National?
Check your state law to see if you must complete hunter education before you can get a hunting license. Is completion of the National state agency-approved course required in order to buy a license?
Yes, in many cases. In order to buy a license, states require that all first-time hunters must complete a course approved by the state agency and IHEA-USA.Elsewhere
Hunting education is currently required in several U.S. states and Canadian provinces.Reciprocity
All U.S. states, provinces, and other countries that have mandatory hunter education requirements will accept the National Hunter Education Certificate. Likewise, National will accept Hunter Education certifications that are issued by other jurisdictions that meet official IHEA-USA requirements. (This is known as “reciprocity.”) -

Lower is all put together, waiting on one more delivery today! -
Jonathon Austin let’s you work on that while your are in the office? Cool!
-
Jonathon Won’t be long now and you will be out having fun.

Austin I am 100% down for this, obviously, I will have to shoot with mine a bit first though! On a related note I had an enormous victory yesterday. My wife and I were talking and she said “what was the small pistol that (a friend of ours) had when we went shooting” It was a .38 glock and when I asked her why and she said that “all the news about shootings recently has me thinking I don’t want to be unable to defend myself” I cried in pride and we are now pricing .38s for her! All of my 2A subliminal messaging with her has started to pay off!

Jonathon nice, just don’t bend that gas tube during the instal. We expect the next pic to be a GTG rifle.

Jonathon its not that hard to put together, but definitely better to have someone who knows what their doing help out with some of the upper. Heck, one of the hardest parts on the upper is getting the dust cover and spring installed properly and without scratching up the finish on the reciever.
Tell your wife that G42 is a nice weapon to learn on and carry. Nothing wrong with a .380 I carry a G43 about 90 percent of my concealed carry because of how easy it is to conceal. I have several extra mags and one is only a bit bigger than a key fob for my F350. Just so you know I also own a G17, 19, 22, 23, 27, 28, 21 and 30, but prefer the 43. I carry the 30 if I am going out hiking etc… I like a few more rounds and the way the .45 hits if a bear or shark decides to try and eat me. -
Jonathon Be careful what you ask for, you may end up like me and just be a magazine loader.
-
Huh, I thought I included these earlier

-
Jonathon I can see it starting, all you are going to be is a loader.
