I’m glad no one is talking my about my ridiculous chicken estimate! For the beef I at least had a reason/excuse, the chicken was a huge swing an a miss!

Jonathon I just figured you were doing your grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s with the prices you were guessing.

Jonathan was spot on with his chicken price guess. I was at the Gucci supermarket yesterday and hand fed, blanket wrapped, manicured chicken was 8.99/lb. Spot on sir.

Jonathon for your chicken comment even the most expensive chicken breast at my local grocer isn’t that high! But it is pretty damn close, that is for organic and air chilled chicken breast.

Also my wife isn’t allowed to go shopping alone, we have a list and everything we use. She buys too much, oh this looks good, I want some of this and that. it usually is all junk food which this house doesn’t need!

Poaching still happens all the time on every specie of animal.

I used to be able to refill our house for around $100 -$120 a week, and that is from going from nothing in the house to “ooohhh we have that again?”. It is just the wife and I and aside from steak and a few of her odd-ball stuff we eat fairly cheaply. Lots of vegetables and meat. Now, I never get out of the grocery store for less than $150 and more commonly it is $180 AND this is without steak!

I haven’t had a steak in…oh god, how long has it been? Has it been a month? It has been a month at least! What is going on with this world! I refuse to pay those prices so I have been making a lot of grilled chicken wraps. That’s insane though. I am going to stop on the way home and grab one, lord knows I deserve it!

Jonathon it is absolutely crazy how high prices have gone up. I have 3 kids at home and a fourth kid that is just like my own (who is here all the time) that are eating us to the poor house! Lol! Not really laughing though because this sure is crazy.
