I found out a bit more and also got some more info from customer service. Doesn’t look like he had ever requested a refund or return. It appears that the only contact we had from him was complaints about the shipping time. Might have been more contact in there, but nothing I can see right now. UPS delayed the package saying “Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery.” so there wasn’t a whole lot we could do there. I did not find out exactly what went wrong with the casings or how they were damaged exactly, but he’s getting his refund, so hopefully he’ll be back to at least not as mad. If not, we can’t win them all, but we can always try our best to make things right, and nothing here shakes my confidence in our customer service team and how they treat and take care of people.
Austin UPS has delayed everything out here in Washington and Oregon since we had snow on Christmas. I talked to their driver last night after he delivered my overnight air priority package that was a week late. He told me they are having software platform issues and that the scanners they are using antiques running blackberry technology. The guy used to be in IT. He told me that once deliveries are scanned and go on the belt it is assumed they are put on a vehicle, which isn’t always true. The guy who complained is also part of a group that is less than reputable in Oregon.

As far as shipping is concerned I have only seen a couple of company’s that ship as quickly as Walton’s does, so his complaining about that is ludicrous. As far as shipping issues, yes the last 14 months have been very challenging to say the least. My employer ships millions of packages daily and has many internal issues of its own, but there are just some things that are out of our control. Some folks just don’t care about real world problems because they feel entitled while others forgive my bluntness, are just too stupid to understand the shipping process. Between weather, quarantines, regulations, airline issues, and not enough qualified people to hire it probably will not get better any time soon. This is just my observations and opinions and doesn’t reflect the views of any company or corporation.
