Jonathon I’ve always preferred link sausages. Don’t like them precooked. They’re best right out of the skillet, either alone or in a sandwich. The precooked are just not as juicy.

Jonathon we do not. I have had some of these precooked brands mentioned in the article and they were ok. I prefer uncooked. Pre cooked is ok if you are doing it for convenience where time is limited and you want convenience. I’ve done precooked out camping or ice fishing when all I wanted was heat and serve.

We have a certain brand of patties that we keep here that are pre-cooked. They are not the typical national brand and are extremely tasty compared to the frozen unknown meat discs. I use them for my version of sausage muffins and egg muffins since they fit on the muffin and I can throw them in the microwave and go.

I don’t know that I would call any I have had the best. They are super convenient, and compared to other precooked meats, I think they are pretty good when you need that convenience.

Jonathon We use them when deer hunting, make biscuits up and put precooked sausage in biscuit with slice of cheese and microwave, quick morning snack before heading out to stand. Definitely not as good as our home made sausage but quick and easy.

Plain and simply - these are the best of the crap at the store - sorta like the best road side sushi in Oklahoma. Get your sausage from a locker or make it yourself

The only way I do pre-cooked sausage is when I am smoking some other meat. I put raw chubs of break sausage on smoker while cooking and pull at 160. Refrigerate then slice and warm for a great smoked sausage and cheese biscuits the next morning.
