My son really wants to make some restructured jerky and I just bought the attachment for my stuffer. What do you guys recommend for a decent dehydrator. I will probably do fruits and veggies on it too.

ND Mike Good dehydrators are really had to find right now, they are all stuck on ships. I’ve been shopping for a decent one. I use my oven right now, I have a convection feature on it that allows drying at either 140 or 190 degrees. I dry the veggies on a cheap Harbor Freight unit that takes way to long.

LEM mighty bite 10 tray. I have the older model of this one and it is awesome. Holds 10 lbs of meat! Kinda pricey but worth it. Hardest part is storing the behemith

I am wanting to get something different myself but the probably close to 30 year old (I believe snackmaster American harvest) I have still works great. It wasn’t real expensive back then either. I have about 10-12 trays I can stack on top. . It something to get started. Was just watching a video and some guy was comparing his Excalibur to some cheaper Amazon dehydrators and his choice was one of the cheaper ones for the money

ND Mike My husband got me a Cosori dehydrator for our anniversary this year. I’m really happy with it so far. Dried my herbs all summer long and made whole muscle jerky two nights ago. Turned out awesome. Will be doing restructured jerky soon.

Excalibur dehydrators are tops in my book, I own 2. Mine are the 9 tray model # on their Excalibur’s site is 3926TB it has a 26 hour timer, and a thermostat on top as well. It is very affordable and IT GET’S THE JOB DONE!!! I have dried fruit, made granola, I do all my jerky & beef sticks on it (much quicker) I use a jerky gun and you can make 9 trays of jerky in about 6 hours, I also make my dog treats on it. I will tell you this I bought mine off of E Bay and saved about $125.00 on each machine, Excalibur’s web site is pretty pricy. You can also buy replacement screen inserts, etc. for the machine on E Bay at a much cheaper price. These dehydrator’s are the best I have ever owned nothing digital, or fancy, it simply does what it is suppose to do. Hope this helps you out!!!
