Black Forest Chocolate Cherry Dump Cake

ND Mike my wife reconditioned a dutch oven about 3 years ago. I thought I would christen it today with this BFCCDC recipe. So much for this week’s weight loss program!
Jonesy She did a nice job on the recondition. I find the old ones are fantastic.

Jonesy I’ve seen the Ole Smoky. But, not the PB model. Have two others that would be good in there also. We are getting “creative” for sure. Just don’t tell the mom’s about your addition. It just might calm down the little people a bit.

ND Mike I have the ingredients all ready for the next snap & then it’s going to be hot chocolate in the Dutch oven. I can’t wait. I decided I will try the cherry Dr. Pepper too. I wonder what other kind of cherry I could introduce to give it a little nip?

calldoctoday the Cherry Dr. Pepper worked great. It was the only cherry flavored soda I had camping this summer, so rather than driving 7 miles for a Cherry Coke, I improvised. I’ve made it both ways and both were good, but if you like Dr. Pepper, definitely give it a shot. ND Mike has added some inches to everyone’s waistline by posting this recipe.

GWG8541 I am not necessarily a big Dr. Pepper fan, but it has its place. If I am even doing soda I would prefer Coke most of the time, which is not much, very, very little. Otherwise, Buffalo Rock is my hands down favorite. It just has that kick that none of the others have any more & the right ingredients are there too. That would probably be too much for this recipe though, but I thought the Pepper would have that flavor twist to it that might do it right.
BIG PROBLEM! Now it’s like a cherry covered peanut butter cup!
