GWG8541 just canned the last of the beets and some more spicy V8. My tomatoes are still going strong but cooler weather is supposed to be on the way.

bocephus I still do hunt them a lot but it sure is easier growing them out back and not have to look for them

Picked the last of my peppers
today. We’re looking at our first frost tomorrow. Still need to pick what tomatoes
we want
. I hate to see the garden go but I still have English peas going and they’re loaded and looking great.

Pretty much the last of my peppers, some went into a cream cheese and sour cream spread/dip
The rest were dehydrated and turned into HOT seasoning powder

Dr_Pain Thank you, the habaneros were late this year but yielded excellent fruit

We still have a little bit to go. I told my son, if we could load up on the water & organic fertilizer, we might even be able to get a few more Eggplants & Winter squash if the weather stays exactly the way it has been the past week or so (wishful thinking). Peppers are still on the run though (Cubaneros, Cayenne, Jalopoleno, Poblano, Chili). Tomatoes bit the dust. I tried trimming them back as sometimes that works to bring out a late season crop, but not this year. Never go enough this year to make any sauce & can it up, just several quarts of Salsa, that did not have to be canned as it goes too quick, salads, & mater & mayonnaise samwiches.

calldoctoday Garden is toast for the year. Snow all melted so was able to dig Gladiolas bulbs, plant some replacement tulips and some garlic. About ready for winter.

cdavis I usually pickle some of my jalapeno peppers but did not plant a garden this year, maybe next year.

bocephus What, No Garden!? A many can’t live life without a garden. Well, that is what I thought too for years, but I understand. There were a few years in there that I could not find time to do one either for all sorts of reasons & even these days, it is not what they used to be.

calldoctoday I usually plant one but things didn’t work out this year, luckily we have a good farmers market nearby, but still not the same as growing it your self.
