I have a heated shop. Plus in a couple months, 20 degrees will seem warm, good chance we will be 20 below. Now that I think about it, maybe I will throw it in the truck and head your way.

Dr_Pain thats just my version of pepper vinegar. I always like the Texas Pete stuff I saw in some restaurants, so I bought a bottle, filled it with vinegar, salt and a little cane sugar. The nice thing is you can keep adding vinegar and the peppers will keep a year easily. I had to find a cool bottle so the wife would let me keep it out on the counter. She’s a little OCD about her counter tops.

GWG8541 just canned the last of the beets and some more spicy V8. My tomatoes are still going strong but cooler weather is supposed to be on the way. 20211026_143741.jpg

cdavis My vines are about done, Just trying to squeeze out the goodie as much as I can to vine ripen. Frost is just days to a week away I’m sure. I’ll pick what is left that are changing the green shades and finish them off inside on a tray in the West window. Paper bags never worked for me.

@dennyo I have good luck finishing them in cardboard boxes in my shop. I just keep the lid closed and check them once or twice a week.

We still have a little bit to go. I told my son, if we could load up on the water & organic fertilizer, we might even be able to get a few more Eggplants & Winter squash if the weather stays exactly the way it has been the past week or so (wishful thinking). Peppers are still on the run though (Cubaneros, Cayenne, Jalopoleno, Poblano, Chili). Tomatoes bit the dust. I tried trimming them back as sometimes that works to bring out a late season crop, but not this year. Never go enough this year to make any sauce & can it up, just several quarts of Salsa, that did not have to be canned as it goes too quick, salads, & mater & mayonnaise samwiches.
